OUR TRACK RECORD

Evolve Enterprise Solutions (EES) acts as an umbrella company to originate and deliver managerial and advisory mandates in operational private equity and venture capital. It was founded in Sept`19 by Joerg Ruetschi as an independent platform and contracting entity.

Under its umbrella, Joerg has built a serial track record as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Restructuring / Transformation Officer (CTO) at the intersection of technology with the financial and enterprise ecosystem.

Joerg’s operating track record includes his full-time roles at Starmind, Osome, interop.io, Nectar Digital Wealth and Sentifi, and other selected mandates as operating partner at Deutsche Credit, Acertas and impactvise.

Joerg led the exits of ChartIQ (S&P Global) and Fundbase (Broadridge), the spin-off and subsequent merger of Finsemble with Glue42 to interop.io, and the spin-off and launch of quantmate.ai while bringing extensive experience in turning around businesses, leveraging product-centric growth agendas.

Strategic priorities

EES' strategic focus lies at the intersection of foundational technologies and technology-enabled services. We drive value creation through two core theses: Leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), software as a service (SaaS), open-source software (OSS) and open architecture to augment intelligence and automate workflows; and building enterprise platform technology for capital and private markets with a key interest in strategic risk-taking and alternative capital.

Further details to our serial track record can be found below. It is organised across three core pillars, following our value-creation theses in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise Platform Technology, and RiskTech and Alternative Capital.

First Pillar – Artificial Intelligence

Driving intelligence and decision augmentation across the AI value chain by transforming data into actionable insights. Our mandates span machine learning, analytics, data visualization, and generative AI. They focus on the establishment of operating systems for large complex data sets, and unified knowledge and intelligence platforms with advanced search capabilities and core use cases in strategic insights and risk management.

Intelligence and decision augmentation refers to the process of enhancing decision-making through structured, data-driven insights derived from a combination of human expertise, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence. At its core, it integrates multiple components through data fusion and integration (combining structured, unstructured, real-time, and historical data), domain expertise (human insights and signals that contextualise the data pool), advanced analytics (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive), and decision frameworks (e.g. Bayesian inference and complexity theory).

We have been leveraging AI to scale and accelerate these components, using machine learning and natural language processing to extract insights from massive datasets, identify patterns, contextualise and generate recommendations and forecasts. Modern AI also powers agentic systems that can proactively surface insights, generate questions, and synthesize knowledge across domains.

The following mandates constitute the core pillar of our track record in the area of AI:

In C-level executive roles at Nectar Digital Wealth and interop.io, Joerg led the spin-out of quantmate.ai, the Bayesian inference technology and the successful exit of ChartIQ, the leading data visualisation platform. He returned to a full-time operating role in AI with his appointment at Starmind, the AI powered knowledge platform.

Joerg’s other operating mandates include his appointment as interim CEO of Sentifi in Aug'19 to lead the turnaround of the AI company with focus on natural language processing and sentiment analysis. The company's successful rescue and repositioning concluded in the purchase offer from a global financial information provider in Nov'19; followed by its recapitalisation as a standalone business in Apr'20; and the transition to the management team in APAC under the new majority shareholder.

From May '20, Joerg led the incubation of impactvise, the AI-enabled impact advisory platform. The company provides analytics and advisory for sustainability in the legal industry. He developed the proposition and launched the venture in Jun 21; joined as Founding Partner the Board of Directors until Jun’22; and remained as Senior Advisor until the company entered a strategic alliance with Justice Bid, the US legal sourcing platform, in Aug'23.

From Jul '22 to Jun'24, Joerg was a Senior Advisor at ACERTAS to lead the deployment of its AI platforms for augmented decision making, focussing on strategic and risk intelligence, and advanced analytics for FIs and alternative investments. The company develops the next generation decision intelligence by combining AI, complexity science and high-performance computing.

Second Pillar – Enterprise Platform Technology

Scaling enterprise platform technology and operating systems by integrating tech-enabled services via open architecture. Our mandates have been focused on alternative-investments platforms in capital and private markets.

We have gained extensive experience across a broad range of corporate and transactional situations. Our mandates have spanned capital-market and banking unit spin-offs, the development of challenger and digital banks, and the scale-up of specialty-finance and alternative-capital platforms.

Our primary focus during the last few years has been on enabling small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) through a technology-driven merchant banking model, integrating core systems with infrastructure and embedded services (enterprise-resource-planning) to deliver scalable platform solutions.

Our recent mandates in Enterprise Platform Technology include:

As C-level executive, Joerg led from 2021-23 the scale-up of an industry-leading application interoperability platform through the spin-off and subsequent merger of Finsemble to interop.io; and spearheaded in 2024 the successful scale-up to profitability of Osome, the SME platform for embedded accounting and corporate services. He previously orchestrated the exit of Fundbase, a cloud-based alternative investment platform, from 2020-21, to Acolin (Broadridge).

From Sep'22 to Oct-25, Joerg served as Operating Partner at Deutsche Credit, an alternative capital provider for the European middle market, leading together with the CEO its revival and repositioning with focus on the company’s digital platform, executing his vision build a pan-European private-capital platform.

Third Pillar – RiskTech and Alternative Capital

Advancing the growth and change agenda in alternative investments through transformative products and technologies. We bring long-term expertise and experience in risk technology (RiskTech) with focus on alternative capital.

Our track record is grounded in applying RiskTech – advanced technologies that enhance risk assessment and decision-making. We use AI to power insights, analytics, and automation across activist investing, strategic risk-taking, and alternative capital.

As Senior Advisor to Executive Committees and/or Member of the Boards of Directors, we align transactions, product development, and technology to drive strategy, growth, and change. We leverage our expertise in AI and enterprise technology to drive value creation across the industry.

Value proposition and mandates in this third pillar include:

Previously with StepStone Group, Goldman Sachs, and PwC Strategy&, Joerg offers broad experience in alternative investments across the full capital structure in public and private markets. His domain spans hedge funds, private equity/debt, venture capital, alternative-risk transfer, insurance-linked solutions, and the convergence of reinsurance with alternative-investment strategies. His core interests are to drive product and technology development across alternative asset classes.

Research and Exchange – Value-Creation Programme

We follow an experience-driven value creation methodology, grounded in ongoing research and a commitment to sharing our approach. Our book “Transforming Financial Institutions” outlines the core principles of EES’s methodology. Through our programme Entrepreneurial Leadership in the Digital Age” we apply these principals universally across industries and continue to advance our research and actively promote the exchange of experience-based knowledge and methods with our partners and clients.
